Here is the overview: A wind turbine works by turning the natural movement of air into usable electricity. When wind blows, it flows over the turbine’s blades, which are shaped like airplane wings to create lift. This lift causes the blades to rotate around a central hub, spinning a shaft inside the turbine. The spinning shaft drives a generator, either directly or through a gearbox that increases the rotation speed. Inside the generator, magnets and coils of wire interact to produce an electric current. That electricity is then sent through cables down the tower to a transformer, which adjusts the voltage so the power can be safely delivered to homes, businesses, and the electric grid.
