Three hooks for one video
Cut two new openings onto a finished short, identical after the hook, so you can post all three and let the feed tell you which opening holds.
Make two new openings in GroundSlate for <<VIDEO IN GROUNDSLATE>>, so I can test three hooks against the same video. Keep its own opening as version A. Write version B as a question and version C as a warning, each under two seconds, and read them in the same GroundSlate voice as the original narration. Cut each new opening in where the original hook ends, after its last word and before the next line, keep everything after that cut identical, and match the loudness so the join cannot be heard. Keep the opening picture and re-time its captions to each new line. Show me the three hook lines and the cut point before you render, then render all three at <<RESOLUTION AND ASPECT RATIO>> and the original's frame rate, file them next to the original, and tell me what did not resolve.
- Replace the double-bracketed values with your own before you paste.
- Post version A to your feed and the other two as Instagram Trial Reels. Trial Reels go to people who do not follow you first, so the extra hooks get tested without crowding your followers. Keep the one that holds.
- A join you can hear gives the test away. Ask for the cut between words, never in the middle of a breath.
- The short needs a transcript with word timings, so the cut can land on the gap after the hook.
