GroundSlate release notes

A video on the day you install. Give your assistant one line, your name or what you are making, and it renders a short film on your Mac in under a minute. It opens in the app and asks you to approve it. No footage is needed, nothing is uploaded, and nothing has to be indexed first.

The setup walk leads with it. The greeting your assistant reads now offers that video before anything else, so the last thing setup asks for is no longer the one thing a fresh install cannot do. Cutting from your own library comes after it, once there is footage in there to cut.

Drawn shapes are smooth. The shapes in the drawing kit are proper curves rather than rounded polygons. An ink outline follows the shape it surrounds instead of scalloping around it, a shadow sits where the shape is, a wobble keeps its direction as it moves, and a shape cut in two keeps the curve it had. The kit's own preview page is now set in the app's own type.

Updates arrive ready to install. A new version now downloads quietly in the background by default, so it is waiting when you choose to install it rather than starting the download then. The toggle for it is where it always was.
