Tired of Manual Content Chopping? Let Automation Do the Heavy Lifting

Churning out content for every platform is exhausting. What if every podcast, blog, or video you make could instantly blossom into LinkedIn posts, Insta carousels, TikTok snippets, and email blasts, without you lifting a finger? Good news: you can build an AI-powered content repurposing engine that automates it all, using simple no-code tools.

Your Repurposing Engine Will:

• Detect new content automatically from a folder (Google Drive, Notion, Dropbox, etc.)

• Transcribe audio/video instantly with Whisper or Gemini (if needed)

• Summarize and chunk text with OpenAI or Claude

• Format for each platform: LinkedIn, Instagram, X, email, and more

• Auto-schedule posts using Buffer, Hootsuite, or direct APIs

• Send confirmation to Slack or email, so you always know what’s shipped

What You’ll Need

• n8n (preferred), Make, or Zapier

• OpenAI or Claude API (for text magic)

• Optional: Gemini or Whisper (for speech-to-text)

• Social scheduling tool (Buffer, Hootsuite, or native APIs)

• Cloud storage (Google Drive, Dropbox, Notion, etc.)

Step-by-Step: Lightning-Fast Content Repurposing

1. Detect New Content

• Set up an n8n trigger for “new file” in your chosen storage (Google Drive, Notion, Dropbox, etc.).

• n8n Google Drive Trigger Example: - Trigger: New File in /To Repurpose - Poll Interval: 10 min - Filter: Only process .mp3, .mp4, .docx, or .pdf

Pro Tip: Use filename prefixes or folders to skip drafts and old files.

2. Instant AI Transcription (If Needed)

• Add an n8n node for Whisper, Gemini, or Google Speech-to-Text.

• n8n Whisper Node Example: - Input: File from previous step - Output: Transcript text

• If you’re starting with text, just pass it on to the next step!

3. Summarize & Chunk with AI

• Use an OpenAI (or Claude) node to break the content into 3-5 “chunks”, each matched to a platform.

• Example GPT-4 Prompt: "Split this content into 4 parts: LinkedIn post, Instagram caption, X thread, and an email summary. Tailor each for the platform’s style."

• Map the output into variables: linkedin_post , instagram_caption , etc.

4. AI-Powered Formatting for Each Platform

• For each chunk, pass through a short prompt to polish for its platform:

• LinkedIn: Long-form, 2 emojis, value-driven

• Instagram: Short, hashtags, CTA

• X (Twitter): 3-5 tweets in a thread, punchy

• Email: Engaging summary, link to original

• Sample Formatting Prompt: "Rewrite as a {platform} post. Match tone and length. Add emojis or hashtags where relevant."

5. One-Click Scheduling

• Connect Buffer, Hootsuite, or the native API with your automation tool.

• n8n HTTP Request for Buffer: - Method: POST - URL: https://api.buffer.com/1/updates/create.json - Body: { "text": $json["linkedin_post"], ... }

• Schedule for “best time” or use fixed slots, your scheduler can optimize posting windows for you!

6. Get Notified

• Add a Slack or email node as the last step.

• Example Message: "🎉 Content repurposed & posted to LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and your newsletter!"

Common Pitfalls & Power Tips

• Watch AI Usage: Set API usage alerts, batch if you’re processing lots of files at once.

• Platform Formatting: Double-check platform limits (character count, hashtags, links) in your prompts and final output.

• Content Versioning: Save both source and repurposed content, easy reruns, updates, and A/B tests.
