Anthropic has introduced Claude Design as a research preview, pushing Claude beyond chat and into a much more operational role: generating decks, one-pagers, prototypes, and other polished assets from natural-language prompts. That sounds a little “death to the blank canvas,” and honestly, that is the point. Instead of starting in Figma, Slides, or PowerPoint and building structure by hand, teams can now describe the artifact they want, feed in references, and get a first draft that is actually shaped like a deliverable instead of a pile of vibes.
For marketing leaders and product teams, this is one of the more practical AI moves in the market right now. Not because it replaces designers. It does not. But because it targets a painfully real bottleneck: the messy middle between idea and usable asset.
