A web app walkthrough in one take
Script a product demo in a browser window on your Mac, with a visible pointer, a zoom on the detail that matters and anything private hidden, then record it as one take you can shoot again tomorrow.
Open <<YOUR APP'S ADDRESS>> in a GroundSlate browser window at tutorial size on my largest screen, with a plain arrow pointer. Hide <<ANYTHING PRIVATE ON THE PAGE, SUCH AS YOUR ACCOUNT EMAIL>> for the take. Look at the page, then write me the steps for a walkthrough that shows <<WHAT THE DEMO SHOULD SHOW>>, with the time each step happens. Let the pointer travel to each control and rest on it for a moment before clicking, and zoom in on <<THE DETAIL WORTH SEEING UP CLOSE>> while I talk about it. Show me the steps before recording anything. Then run them as one recorded take, save the video in my library, and tell me any step that ran late or missed what it was aimed at.

- Web capture is off until you turn it on in GroundSlate, and the window only opens sites you allow. If yours is not allowed, the agent asks and you approve it in the app.
- Keep GroundSlate open. The first recording asks macOS for Screen Recording permission for GroundSlate; allow it once in System Settings.
- During the take the window borrows your pointer and ignores your typing, so keep your hands off the Mac until it says it is done. Moving the mouse yourself takes the pointer back.
- Tutorial size is 1920 by 1080. On a screen too small for it the window opens smaller and says so, so record on your largest display.
- A step can wait for the page instead of guessing: until some words appear, an element is on screen, or the address changes. That is what makes the same steps play the same way on another day.
- A step can name its target by its visible label, so a button that only appears on hover can be clicked right after the step that reveals it.
- The zoom re-renders the page larger, so text stays sharp instead of looking like a blown-up crop.
- Hiding changes only what is drawn in the window and the recording. Nothing on the site changes, the window will not press anything hidden or relabelled, and the activity log records what the take left out.
- If a step misses, the take stops and says which step and why, and the video up to that point is kept.
